Burdock root is frequently recommended for acute gout attacks. It has properties which enable the excess uric acid to pass through the urine, useful to cleanse toxins from the blood and reduce inflammation. Sour cherries help reduce pain and inflammation caused from kidney stones and gout. It helps neutralize uric acid crystals and reduce excess amount of uric acid in the body. Though white willow bark is often used for pain of gout, we have opted to not add it in because many people are on blood thinners, and white willow thins blood as well.
