Stress is a part of life, but it affects people at different levels. Some of the symptoms we have heard people talk about like fatigue, body aches, weight loss, bloating, low blood pressure, etc…could be happening because of cortisol, or lack thereof. Using adaptogenic herbs is one way to help your body regulate the stress response, to manage those stressors.

Adrenal glands produce hormones that help regulate metabolism, immune system, blood pressure, and responses to stress amongst others things.  When someone is faced with long-term stress, sometimes the adrenal glands cannot keep up with the body's need for these certain hormones.

Ingredient descriptions pertaining to adrenals:
Licorice assists the adrenals by preventing the breakdown of cortisol.  Its helps maintain energy levels which results in a better response to stressful situations.
Maca has adaptogen properties that enable the body to more easily adapt to and regulate stress by supporting the adrenal glands. They help the body to de-stress  and support the adrenal glands
Turmeric may help to alleviate stress-related depression and improve the function of the hypothalamic-pituitary–adrenal (HPA) axis.
Ginseng helps work to regulate cortisol levels. It acts like a thermostat on cortisol levels. In addition, ginseng supports adrenal health, helping these glands work more efficiently.
